RISC5 is an easy-to-use software package designed for performing
fate and transport modeling, and human health risk assessments for contaminated
sites and ecological risk assessments. RISC follows standard procedures outlined in the US EPA’s Risk
Assessment Guidance for Superfund (US EPA, 1989) to calculate exposure
assessment, toxicity assessment, and risk assessment. RISC5 has a new graphical
user interface that makes it extremely easy to follow the required steps in
performing a risk assessment. It has a flexible material database including all
required data for approx. 120 common pollutants. Tabular and graphical results
are generated directly in Excel. |
