| Select one of our pre-defined borehole
log templates or design your ideal template from scratch and generate
borehole logs quickly and efficiently for all boreholes in your
project. Automated data links mean the most current data is read
directly from the database every time to view your logs, reducing the
need for user intervention. Borehole log plots can provide real-time
data entry quality checking; view a well’s borehole log as you manually
data into the database to help your interpretations, or within the Map
Manager to help you understand the controls on the spatial distribution
of your data.
The Borehole Log Plotter provides the following features:

GIS Map
Manager |
| The GIS Map Manager is fully integrated
with the other features within Hydro GeoAnalyst, providing you with all
the tools you need for analyzing and presenting the spatial orientation
of your hydrogeological project data. Since the Map Manager is built
into Hydro GeoAnalyst, you can develop contour maps (elevations,
concentrations, water table, etc.), thematic maps, and display tables or
time series plots by station without having to first spend time
re-entering or reformatting your data.
Contouring of project data such as water levels or contaminant
concentrations is an effective method of analyzing the spatial
distribution of data. The Map Manager contouring tool provides you with
full control over which data are used to complete the contouring,
allowing you to contour data in time, for specific geologic units, or
for selected regions of your site. Examples of contour applications
include:
- Water table elevations

- Layer surface elevations
- Property distributions
- Contour moisture distribution within unsaturated layers
- Aquifer vulnerability indices
- Levels of risk from a source point concentration
The GIS Map Manager enables thematic mapping for spatial display of
the distribution of a single attribute/characteristic or the
relationship between several attributes. Options include pie graphs,
bar charts, graduated polygon distributions, or the ability to assign
various symbol styles to specific point values. Thematic maps are
useful for highlighting relationships between:
- Wells with head elevations above or below ground surface (Artesian
conditions)
- Groundwater pumping volumes and precipitation (Recharge potential)
- Layer thickness from ground surface to subsequent layers
(Aggregate exploration)
- Soil types (sand versus clay) and aquifer vulnerability to
contamination
- Graduated value polygons for land use or contaminant source
inventories
- Population density versus aquifer thickness
The GIS Map Manager provides the following features:
- Effortlessly load query or station group data from any table
within your project database
